Looking for VW Beetle
I am looking to purchase a Volkswagen Beetle in good safe running order. 1963 vintage is preferred but will consider other years. It does not have to be in original condition. The vehicle will be registered in Vancouver and therefore will have to be air cared. I would want my mechanic to be able to inspect the vehicle before purchasing. 1992 VW GTI 8V
I have a 1992 GTI 8V which my family bought new from the
dealer in 1992. I've owned it since 1993, drove it for a number of years
then put it in storage waiting to get it cleaned up properly again. It's
been in dry storage for the past 6 years. This past winter, I got word
from my storage that the tonnes of snow we got had collapsed the roof,
sending a beam onto the top of the car. It wasn't insured.
The apparent damage is the roof, front/rear windows, with some scars on
the front left quarter panel.
- 200,000+ kms, original motor, tranny (all working well)
- RPI/K&N cone filter (removed but in box)
- 16" TSW Stealths on 205 40 rubber (it was the 90’s after all…)
- sport springs (minor lowering)
- clean, straight interior (no rips, cuts, or cut up dash, except of
course for the headliner now...)
- single headlight conversion (have quad grill too which I’ll throw in)
